I’m not sure if there’s a bug with the new cross fader filters (other than dissolve). Pixelate for example only seems to work with the ‘A’ movie.
The text swf is a great swf addition - I always thought this was the one thing missing. It would be good if it were timebased (the scrubber moves) so that you could use the echo filter correctly. - Also this would be great as its own popup window (like memory). Any thoughts on the following expansions for the text:
* A 3D filter that extrudes the text
* A 3D spin filter that moves the text plane randomly in 3D
* other text animations to the typewriter (like spin around a circle)
* right/left/center/top/bottom align
* getting the text to come from an xml file (on or offline) with news/shoutouts etc - changes to next item on list every x beats (from tempo)
* if the text layer is hidden, then executing the typewriter unhides the text - so it types in from nothing
Another addition that I’d love to see:
I think that your mix file does a lot of this it didn’t work on the download version I used for AIR but…
What would be nice is for one mix file to contain all the videos/settings/filters that are setup. You drag this into one of the 5 video windows and it plays in just one window. You can then mix it into the playing video, or click a button and it expands onto all 5 windows.
It would also be nice to have a playlist for mix files - so you just click through in order in a performance.
Must say though - this product is fantastic even without any of the above!
Pixellate works as it is supposed to. One of the problems is that the dissolve transition is automatically setting the alpha, so when you change transitions, transition B is at alpha 0. I will try to come up with another solution for this. Thanks for the feedback.
The text stuff anyone can make themselves, this is more of just an example — I may look into doing some rendering with Papervision3D to do some of this stuff (it’s definately a great idea). All the functionality is totally doable in the API right now, it just has to be done.

I’m looking for away to get the DISPLAY window feed to be seen by external or online webcamming software like Stickam.
